Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge
Hello everyone! Happy day after Christmas! I hope the weather is good for you today. It seems Texas is having a heat-wave, but a little relief is headed our way. Regardless of the summer-time weather, I did enjoy a slower pace after all of the hustle-bustle of Christmas.

PTI's Inspiration Photo
Today's post is for Papertrey's December Blog Hop Challenge. Above is the inspiration photo. I decided to make a Birthday card using the customer appreciation "Celebrate Big" stamp set. I focused on the colors and the 'celebration' aspect of the inspiration photo. To add that 'wrapping paper' feel, I added a scrap piece of yellow polka-dot paper behind the sentiment. Then I popped up the sentiment to add a little interest.

I'm also entering Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, "It's Party Time!"  This challenge is running for two weeks, so there is still plenty of time to play!

What was your favorite thing to do today??
Card Recipe--All Papertrey Ink [unless noted]:
Inks: Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise, and Raspberry Fizz [used for stamping & water coloring the panel].
Paper: Hawaiian Shores and watercolor paper
Stamps & Dies: Celebrate Big and clear embossing powder for the sentiment.
